Farewell Dinner At Asconi

Janet, our Peace Corps country director, left last month for East Timor.  Before she left, she had a farewell dinner and wine tasting at Asconi Winery.  They mainly export, and their wine is good!  So's their food.  Everything was traditionally Moldovan in this meal and the taste was fantastic.  We'll be back when they open their "real" restaurant in the spring.

Crazy January Start #27: Coeur Rose

Well, the top lobes of the heart are visible.  I think it'll look good when done.  This is one of my pinterest finds.

Cute Mini Macaroons

We went to Odessa overnight last week, and Kompot had the cutest little macaroons ... I just had to buy them for the cuteness factor.  They were gobbled up at work today.

Peach House Done

Yay!  I am officially done with the peach house and now have a much smaller blue one to add.

Starry Temari

I based this temari on one by Barb Suess.  The pattern isn't too hard, but it does have disparate elements.

Periodic Vodka

I thought this was neat, and it was cheap, so I bought it.  Who, except the Russians, would name their vodka after the father of the periodic table?  I haven't tasted it yet, though.

Crazy January Start #26: Floral Scissorskeep

I love the materials and packaging in this kit, but the directions are awful!  They're very generic and evidently are the same, with the exception of a diagram for all her kits.  Darn, I would have bought more if this wasn't the case.  I'll muddle through this one only because I have experience in muddling through.
