A New Baby Aghan

This afghan is going to the Caldwells for their new baby due this month.  I'm mailing it to Chisinau at their request, as it will be one less thing in the suitcase on the way home from medevac.  I think it came out pretty well.  It's a V-stitch granny pattern.

Second Wine Tasting

The first wine tasting at Carpe Diem was so successful we had  to do a second.  We had the same food but completely different wines.  Only a few people went to both.  It was great to be able to be with so many people and enjoy good Moldovan wine.

Wine-y Art

We had been wanting one of these landscapes for quite a while - the artist paints in only wine.  Finally we saw one we loved - and bought it.

Backstitching can make a huge difference!

New People To Torro

After an influx of new people to the embassy community, we decided to introduce them to Torro Grill.  It didn't disappoint.  A pickle plate, lemonades, a fruit plate, and dinner for everyone made us all very satisfied.

Support the (Ukrainian) Troops

I bought these beautiful things at one of the support the Ukrainian troops booths in Odessa.  People are doing all they can to get more money to their soldiers for equipment.

Working On The Brown

Who ever knew there was so much brown on peacocks?
