Bringing More Brown

I have been working more on the background and the peahen, which means more brown.  Eventually the brown will go away and I'll get some color.

The Water Gardens

We had a little bit of time before a friend's train came in, so instead of hanging out at the station, we walked a  couple of blocks to the Fort Worth Water Gardens.  This park was built in the early 1970's and was the site of the final scene of that classic Michael York vehicle, Logan's Run.  It's still a pretty place, but is definitely underutilized in the downtown area.

Beginning Of November

Right on time, I started November!

Ol' South - Not Just For Breakfast

Ol' South has great lunches and dinners, too.  We had the mixed appetizer basket, including fried pickles.  Andreas had chicken fingers and a baked potato.  I had chicken fried steak and okra.  It was a very satisfying meal.

Time To Make Purses

We went kind of crazy buying leather and fur at the stockyards.  It was all scrap stuff; some of it's very nice.  The idea is to make some purses.  When I get the leather shears and the right needles.
