Banding Up

I completed all the bungarian stitch on the big middle band.  There's a little bit more stitching to do then beading and it's done.  Go me!

More Than Half The Tubes

As of today, this is my new daily project.  I've got more than half the tubes done, and the shape is coming together.  Still have to fill in and do the blackwork between, but it's going to get there.

New From Virginia

I bought this Ink Circles pattern, Turtles All The Way Down, at In Stitches in Alexandria, Virginia, while we were there.  Since I had finished something else, I decided to start it.  I'm using one strand of thread on 40 count linen.

Bought In Texas

I bought these fabrics at Cabbage Rose and at a shop going out of business in Arlington.  As of two days ago, I have a rotary cutter, a sewing machine, some thread, and the fabric.  Time to quilt!

Off To Star Cafe

After picking him up from the train station, we showed our friend around town and took him to Star Cafe to eat with my mom.  He'd never had a chicken fried steak, so that's what he had.  He liked it!  Andreas had me order fried mozzarella, since it's something I can't really find here in Angola.  I also had a steak, while Andreas had chili cheese fries and a burger.  Mom had chicken fried chicken.  Star Cafe's a good place to eat.

Bringing More Brown

I have been working more on the background and the peahen, which means more brown.  Eventually the brown will go away and I'll get some color.

Some Swirls

I swear this is eventually going to turn into a dragon.
