TGIF By Georgetown U

We had a four in the afternoon date with a bus (ugh!) and no where to waste time, so we went to TGIFriday's in Foggy Bottom.  Our order was not right - the appetizers came much later than the main course- but when it came, it tasted okay.  As usual for American restaurants, the portions were way too big.

Boxing

We bought these boxes to hold my jewelry at the Maryland Renaissance Faire, which we went to after a week of classes in West Virginia.

Half Flaked

I've got half a flake now.  Need to finish it so I can start putting together Christmas presents.

Looking Ducky

This is not at all looking like a dragon at the moment.  As Andreas says, it looks like a rubber duck.  Hopefully that will go away soon.

Ruth's Cris Dinner

This was our last dinner in Fort Worth.  Mom took us to Ruth's Cris, where she had some gift certificates.  I had a berry martini type drink that was very good.  Andreas had a limeade thing that he liked.  We shared our side dishes, and Mom got salmon while Andreas and I had steak.  The service was excellent and the decor very nice.  The food, while good, wasn't really up to the price.  It still was a good way to spend an evening with Mom before leaving Texas.

Neat Idea

What to do with leftover k-cups?  Make jewelry!  These are very pretty, very lightweight, and unique.  The artist does brooches, earrings, and magnificent necklaces.

Time For Tea

Andreas' parents gave me this small set for my birthday.  I have started having a mug of tea most mornings here as I wake up and get the day started.  Thank you!
