Looks like I'm about halfway done with this. It's getting to go quickly, and I have no idea what I'm going to do with it once it's done. I -think- it's been sitting started as an unfinished object for about ten years. Shame on me for taking so long!
So maybe April is the month where the yellow wasn't a good idea. The outline, plus the chick-to-be, is in a very similar color to the background. We'll see as I go along. Not changing fabric now.
I'm doing this with my chapter. We're doing Nicola Jarvis kits together! This one is Apple Blossom. I've already started outside the lines, though, by not overlapping my fishbone stitches over the outline. I like the way it looks, so all twelve of the leaves will get the same treatment.
This is the first temari I've made here in Angola. It's a present for a friend with a temari collection - he'd been stationed in Japan. It came out pretty well, I think.
I have a bit more of the peacock tail done and have started adding leaves to the left again. I like that it's coming along and looking like a real picture now.
