It Amused Me

We found these chips at the Spar grocery store in Windhoek.  Haven't tasted them yet, but how could Texas smokehouse barbecue flavored corn chips be bad?

Cute Jackal

 Just running down the road to the water hole, enjoying the morning sun.  Who knew jackals were so cute?

Finally, More Earrings!

The lodge had a great selection of earrings.  I indulged.  They were all less than $5 a pair.  I have become fond of this particular oriental style.  This is my fourth or fifth pair (all different!) using the basic metal skeleton.

Around The Square

Working around the square on this.  It's slowly getting more done, and I am on round three of six or seven.

Breakfast Time

Right after the lions, we ran by these giraffes on the side of the road.  They were having breakfast, munching on tree leaves.  The light for capturing the photos was perfect.

Twelve Fingers!

Yay, I have all twelve leaves done!  I'm supposed to put seed stitches in the plain parts, but I like them the way they are for now.  I might go back to do it later if it evolves to needing to be filled.

Monday Morning Stroll

We went to Etosha National Park in Namibia.  It was a great experience, and I recommend it.  We stayed at Mokuti Lodge right outside the east gate.  Since we had never been somewhere like this, we decided to do the game guide tour our first morning.  This meant getting up at five in the morning ready to start out at six.  Less than a minute into the park, though, we saw these lions.  It was worth the early wake, though we did end up with a long nap in the afternoon.  I was also cold the whole tour.  It was near freezing!
