Back To The Parade

And here's more parade.  Like a lot of local parades, it had a lot of starts and stops and what are we doing now? momemts, but it went off fairly well.

Working Both Sides

I am finally done with enough on the left enough to go back to the right a bit.  Still only brown, though.   I sigh but haven't given up yet.

Indian In Angola

Luanda has a restaurant week every October.  We weren't able to take advantage of it but once, and went to Andy's, which is an Indian restaurant.  A large group of us went for lunch.  At first, because we did not have reservations, they didn't want to let us in.  Once the owner realized what happened in his half empty restaurant, he berated his waiters and let us in.
The food was very good, and it was mainly served in these beautiful copper pots.  Prix fixe for the whole meal was about $8 each at the unofficial rate.  We like this restaurant but rarely go because there's no secured parking.

Send In The Clowns

These two boys were so cute playing with their wooden swords.  After them came a jester and gymnastics group...

Down The Edges

I got some more of the edges and a bit of the middle gargoyle done last time.

Lunch At Cais Do Cuatro

On a Sunday in October, we went to Cais Do Cuatro for lunch.  The food was pretty good, but the view was better - as was the caprioska.  I had soup and tiny steaks.  Andreas had a grilled cheese and ham sandwich and french fries.  It's always and adventure seeing what form your food takes.  I am also very disappointed in the soup.  It was very, very bland.

Nothing Beats A Parade

The opening parade allowed watching people in very heavy and hot clothing on a warm July day.  Moldovans stil don't have the concepts of "period" and "authentic" down, but it's all good.
