Peaced Out

One more finish in India.  Yay!  This one is going to be a gift for a friend who is much more accomplished at finishing needlework than I am.

Reflections

We went out on the cruise on a balmy, cloudy Sunday morning.  The water was so very still I tried to capture the reflections of the shore.

Leafy Cards

These hand painted leaves were for sale at Elephanta Island.  How could I resist peacocks?  And the Ganesh is for my engineer son.

A Star Is Born

It didn't look much like a star until now, but it shines brightly.  I like the way it's turning out.

Moonscape

The cliffs fall down to a very bumpy route to the sea.  The colors and sudden rises remind me of a moonscape, which is probably the reason the area is named after the moon.

Indian Candy

We asked the opinion of our local guide about taking home some local candy for friends.  He recommended these.  Most candy, he says, is made elsewhere, but these are authentic.  They truly taste like the fruits, but after a little bit have a slight chili zing to them.

Bit More Blue

There's a little bit more blue and white along with the green done this time.  I think it is beginning to look like a real piece of stitching.
