See The Stitches?

If you look closely and squint your eyes, you can just make out the mint green stitches on the mint green fabric.  They're a bit easier to see in person.

Little Bits Of Gargoyle

I've got little bits of gargoyle ear and face stitched in.  Doesn't lok like much at all.

This ornament has been donated to the CyberStitchers chapter autumn tree to be auctioned off at national seminar in August.  

All Bordered Up

Now that I have the outer edges done, somewhat, it's time to work on the insides again.  I like the color combination on black.

Almost Two Pages Down

I was stitching on this the other day and realized how far I've gotten.  I'm almost two full pages in, and it's looking pretty good.  This is the widest part of the dragon.  Things get less wide from here on out, which will help with the look of progress.

Cafe Del Mar

A couple of Friday nights ago we went to Cafe Del Mar, a restaurant on the Ilha in Luanda.  Not only are they a restaurant, they will serve you at a beach chair during the day so you can watch the waves on the beach. The water, unfortunately, is not good enough to swim in.  The service was impeccable and the food was pretty good.  Andreas had a pasta dish, and I had picanha.  As usual, Angolans cut and cook it waaay too thin.  The fried banana was tasty and my caprianha was very good.  Overall it was a pleasant evening by the ocean waves.

Getting Darker

As the petals go toward the middle they get darker.  I've been getting far enough to see this now.  Progress is slow, but it is progress...
