Budapest Restaurant Trombitas

I found this restaurant while exploring non-tourist Budapest and looking for a grocery store. Found the grocery, too. The place is definitely a place for workers to go for a beer after shift and a place for warm and cheap lunch. Tired of paying tourist prices, we ate dinner here. I, of course, had goulash. It was tasty but had too many potatoes and too little meat. Andreas had soup and a toast. Both of us had chicken dishes, and we split a cucumber salad. It was a good and filling meal for not too much money.  We were both still exhausted after moving the embassy, so not having to think about dinner was good, too.

Time For Mosaics

The Roman mosaics were the best part of the museum. At some point I will try to use some of these as inspiration for stitching designs.

Lots Of Crosses

Laying out the bits for this, which include a bunch of crosses.

Roofing Again

The fifth house got a lot of roofing done as I started the back stitching on the fourth house.

Ancient Roman And Greek

Also in the basement were a bunch of architectural bits found in excavations around southern Italy. Some of them were whole murals. Others were plaques and inscriptions. Many were very well preserved.

A Little Etno Kuca

This and veal soup makes a full meal...

Group Dinner At Liburna

Liburna proved it could handle giant groups with no problem in September, when we brought thirty people there to have a celebratory meal after the embassy move. Most were from out of Kosovo and had come in to help.
