We were recommended this restaurant by one of our tour guides in Thessaloniki. He was right. It was one of the best meals I had last year. And the wait staff was great, too.

It's TGIFriday
There is a TGI Friday's on Aristotileus Square in Thessaloniki. When we went to Thess, we visited about three times. It was two blocks from the apartment; it was different from anything we could get at home; and we missed American food. Andreas started with mac and cheese. We both had non-Balkan burgers!

Printemps by La Bastidane: Make Stuff May #19
I recently bought this kit from The French Needle, and decided to start it for this series. I've got all the tracing done, and a little bit of applique. Many other bits to do.

Orhidee by Luca-S: Make Stuff May #14
Another Luca-S start. I'm hoping to get some real stitching done when I'm confined to the hotel room with the dogs. All my responsibility will be taking the dogs out.

Grave Goods
Although it was built in the Renaissance, Bacoli castle is home to many artifacts of earlier ages. These were all found within a couple of miles of the castle, and date all the way from the bronze age through classical times. Many were taken from graves.

Near Monasteraki Square
These archaeology sites were between our apartment and Monasteraki Square. Andreas, of course, found a cat. We also looked back and took photos of the Acropolis, closer to our apartment.
