There Was a Wedding

Evidently  you can rent part of the castle for a wedding. We were able to see the museum but unable to go into the courtyard for some reason...

First Day in italy

We knew we would not be able to check in to our agrotourismo when we got there if we didn't stop someplace on the way across Italy. We found Melfi, a small town south of the highway with a medieval castle. The town has put up cute little statues around, but parking is difficult. This is the castle's outside fortifications on the upper side.

 

Lunch Type Food

More market food - dolmas, baked cheese, sardines, and souvlaki. All good except the sardines,
