Bits of Old Town

On Labor Day Leonora and I went on a walking tour of Old Town Warsaw. These are the photos I took on the walk. Almost all of this is rebuilt after WWII. Lots of the houses are typical soviet style housing behind the facades.

 

Vannulo Food

Vannulo farm has a lunch service, but you need to reserve it - even if it's the same day. We managed to reserve about an hour and a half before they sat us. It was worth it. Everything is from the farm and prepared day of. 

 

Serbian Dress

The National Ethnological Museum in Belgrade has a bunch of textiles. On the ground floor, there's a set up with 19th century costume from different parts of Serbia. Some look familiar, others less so.

 

One Cornered

One corner is done except for a border line. At least the cross stitches are. Lots of backstitching to do. And it's going fairly quickly.

 

Beading Supplies

Beading supplies from a stash clean out from Andreas' mom. I'll find some uses as soon as I find some time. What I find I can't use will go next door to Agnieszka; she will make sure it goes to those who can use it.

 

Out for Walkies

The littles love exploring the area around the house.
