Berlin Holocaust Memorial

This memorial is close by Brandenburg Gate and about three blocks from our hotel. We walked by it a few times during our stay. It's large, larger than it appears in the photos.

 

Gnomely

Andreas and Leonora have developed a game of hide the gnome during the holidays. This gnome was added this year. It only was hidden a couple of times before Leonora left. But now it's hidden again. My home is overrun with gnomes at Christmas.

View from the Ritz

Our view from the Ritz. The plaza is Potsdamer Platz - a place the wall ran through. If you zoom in you can see a line on the pavement. That line is where the wall was. Now there's a mall and a U Bahn station.
