Gifts from Leonora

Leonora brought gifts from Kosovo one last time. She left in May. We truly miss her.

 

Walking Around Szczecin

One of the port gates in Szczecin. This city was purpose built by the Germans in the 19th century to provide a good port on the Baltic coast. Now it's Polish.

 

View from the Graveyard

This is what the dead in the American cemetery see from their resting places. The portico in front is where the previous photos were taken from.

 

Trees by Symphony Hall

This is the side of Dresden's symphony hall. The inside supposedly has some of the best acoustics in the world. It's also where a film with Meryl Streep? playing a conductor was filmed. I liked the trees showing off their colors. They also obscure a Soviet era mural that's all about communism, of course.

 

Actual Work Starts

Two months into the course, and we finally started stitching! Starting with the stems and branches.

Up to the Border

I only need to finish up the border for this to be done. Hated working with the Very Velvet. Maybe I will do this again in a different colorway.
