Worked on the sash on the right some more. It's practically done, which means the skirt has to come to an end soon, too, right?

Another Mystery Box - and Something Else
Got another mystery box of totes. Took the blue one on home leave with us to break it in. I also got a surf Lola which I used when we got home.

Pointe du Hoc
As part of our Normandy beach tour, we stopped at Pointe du Hoc. This is the place the Marines scaled up the cliffs to. It's still pockmarked with artillery shell holes and bunker remains. But it's not the same as when we went about ten years ago. There are these nice plaques, for one. They weren't here before. They show the landing beaches and why this area was so important.

Eating at Ksiasz
We couldn't go inside the castle itself because no tickets. We were also starving. So we ate at the restaurant in the gatehouse. Food was overpriced and fancy enough to be. It was also very tasty.

Church and Pomp
This is the other well known church in Dresden - the Catholic one. And the cigarette factory behind yet. Yes, a factory. It was built in the early 19th century and was fan-cy. Plus a guy on a horse statue because every European city has one. This one is in front of the other part of the palace.
