Kiku Update

I had fun working on my kiku temari this week, and got two motifs done. Only three more to go and it'll be done. I'll probably do those over this coming week. I really like making temari and have ordered some rice hulls so I can make some more.

These are gorgeous - lovely colours. Is it just the colour changes that makes the two patterns look different?

These are lovely. I have been intrigued by these since seeing a few done by a fellow EGA chapter member. They are so versatile and I can't think of anything else like them in needlework. One of these days.....

Hi Meg,

This is just beautiful!

One of these days (when I retire), I want to learn how to make these. :-)

No, it's not just the color changes. There are changes in the way the four pointed stars go over and under each other. I LOVE making these. They're really not hard and they tend to go fast. The color choices were Barbara Suess's, since this one's from her class at EGA Seminar.
