A Bell
This week I've been stitching on the cap for the second from the left jellyfish. It's on 40 count silk gauze and takes forever to show progress.

Hey,
May I ask how you are handling the silk gauze? I've tried to stitch on it, and get 'runs' like stocking runs where I insert the needle.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated - I have some wonderful very light weight silk in some great colours, but I've been fighting the battle to embroider upon them and so far, they've beaten me
Hello Elmsley - could it be the gauze you're using? The stuff I'm using seems pretty sturdy. I've even done some frogging on it without a problem, and no runs. It's somewhat stiff and seems to be coated with what feels like dried hairspray. Maybe that's what's keeping it from running? I'd give you a brand or name for it, but it came as part of the kit, so I don't have that information!
