All these cars were getting out for practice runs on Saturday, before the LeMans race.

See the Threads
I think adding the texture here has paid off; it's got more character this way. You can also see where I store the threads for this project...

Down to Lubbock
I think I might even have Wichita Falls covered, too. It's a bit boring to do, but all the fun parts are done!

First in a While
I am finally participating in round robins through crazy quilting international again. Here's the first of someone else's I've done; it's for Kathy S. The theme of this one is roses.

Still in the Pits
Lots of shiny, pretty cars on show, with people working on them most of the time. One of them is even the -other- woman in Indycar Racing's...

A Bit of Blackwork
Yay, part eight is now done and there's only one more part to go. On top of that, the little blackwork tiling at the top was kind of fun to do as a break from cross stitch.

In the Pits
The Baltimore Grand Prix was over the Labor Day Weekend this year. We went - and had a good and bad time. The tickets we bought were not what we were promised. BGP has decided to give us a credit for what we bought toward next year's tickets. We'll see how that goes. In the meantime, here are some pics from the event! This first set is from the Indycar pit row in the basement of the convention center.

A New Texture

Rangers Won, Of Course
The Rangers won the game ... I just wish they'd've won last night, too! Stayed up all night to watch the pitchers give the game away on the last strike time after time. Not hopeful for game seven at this rate.

Back to Tassels
Well, I'm almost to the point I was at when I had to restart... maybe it'll go more quickly the second time around.
Making Out the Letters
I think the banner's over halfway done now. There's a spray of wheat below it, and then it's done. Now to get working....

Funny Poses
More from the same Rangers vs Red Sox game as yesterday. When batting and pitching especially, baseball players can get into some pretty contorted positions.
