Lesson Relearned

I have decided to abandon this piece.  Every time I work on it, it brings me anxiety instead of joy.  It's a Bucilla kit, and I knew it was low quality as soon as I opened it and saw a blunt needle - and denim fabric.  Really?  You're going to expect a beginner to use a blunt needle to get through denim?  Talk about frustration!  I also saw no stitch diagrams.  The grid of stitch placement and number of plies of thread is hard to read and confusing.  On top of that, the thread knots if you look at it.  It's obviously low quality, as it pills easily and just feels rough.  So, I'm ditching it.  I don't need to waste my time on something I'm not enjoying in the least.

I gave up years ago on Bucilla kits. They look amazing in the picture on the cover but never, ever are they straight forward and the directions are always yucko. Life it way too short to be frustrated with what you are stitching. :-)
