November Tea

Yup, got some tea in November.  I can't drink it fast enough, so I've switched my subscription to quarterly.

Wildflower Book

I bought this book at Decan monastery while we were there.  It's handmade and the flowers are real pressed flowers.  Looks pretty.

Backgrounding

Working on the background of the central star now.

Space Lego

Time for women scientists to be added to the lego collection.

Lots Of Floss

Nordic Needle had a sale a bit back where you got fifty free skeins of floss.  Needless to say, I took advantage.

More Pinking

The middle of the pink daisy is almost done.  I think I have about two colors left in it.  The petals of the yellow one are coming along, and I feel like progress is made.

Nordic Needle Order

I bought all these from Nordic Needle as I was looking for white floss.  At least they were all on sale?

Napkin Prizes

I bought these napkins before Christmas from a local women's NGO. They are hand embroidered and good cotton.  I am using them as a prize for a contest for my EGA chapter.

Still Feathering

Feathers are emerging from the background.  The stitches seem to be coming freely, so progress commences.

Done With Part Four

Yay, all the backstitching for part four is done!  Time to start working on the bricks in part five.  I've also got a goodly portion of the second roof done.

Tender Heart Done

This came out pretty well, despite the shredding of the metallic floss.  I don't yet know what I'm going to do with it, but I hope to get it made into something soon.

Legos

I guess it's time to start my own lego collection, since Andreas has one....

One More Ipsy

Stuff I can use, but I hate the feel of the bag.  Can't have everything.

Looking Like A Design

This is beginning to look a lot more like a real design than random bits of stitching.  I love the way the colors are coming out from the variegated thread on the linen.

Redding Up

I feel like I'm making progress now that I'm on a second color.  The maze bits are beginning to take shape.

Another Ipsy

As I was catching up with pictures from my phone, I got behind on all the other non-stitching photos.  This is another ipsy that came.  I love  the pouch on this one and will be keeping it.  I've also been using the lotion pretty regularly.

So Nice...

I am getting spoiled by having DPO mail again.  Things come more quickly, and more things can be delivered - like my Ipsy!  It doesn't get rejected by pouch anymore.

Deeding Decan

The model of Decan monastery is not decked out in the American flag, although it looks like it.  The icon is of the king of the Serbs deeding Decan to the Serbian Orthodox church back in the fourteenth century.

Filling In

The gargoyle heads are beginning to fill in, but I truly am ready to get past the heads...

November Fiberlicious

The November shipment from Fiberlicious was bright and cheery.

Blue And Purple

Time to put something on this fabric, too.  What I really need to do is finish unpacking so I can stitch.

Picture This Plus Delivery

I ordered the dark for my caleidescope.  The rest are for future projects.  All ready to start.

In The Middle

It's a good thing I'm still in love with this project.  I'm still in the middle of the pattern, and this is the thickest part.  But I love the colors and the way it's coming along.

Working On Reds

I have a bit more of this done, mainly in the brick reds and a bit of orange.  There is not also a bit more leaf.  Still a lot to go on this.

Thinking Of Ukraine

I worked on the Ukrainian trident while I was in Vienna.  I like working on it and the way it looks.

Calendar For The New Year

I got this calendar from the Embroidery Association of Canada.  I figure it'll be good inspiration for the year and will spur me on to stitch more.

Received In October

I received this wonderful kit when I got to Kosovo, but I have been far too busy to do much in the way of stitching.  I really want to do this cube!  I have a lot of days off starting today, so hopefully I will be able to start.

Full Hearted

The whole heart is outlined now.  This is pretty close to done, yay!  I could use another finish before the end of the year.

Bits More Color

I didn't do much brown this time, but went through the peacock's tail.  Felt good to not do brown.

Going To The Doilies

Andreas' boss' wife was getting rid of some crochet books.  I need new crochet books like a hole in the head, but I picked out these four.  Now to find time to make them.

Mall Food Albanian Style

The mall is about a mile and a half from our house.  It has a lot of stores and would not be out of place in western Europe.  It even has an Inglot.  When we were here last, all the mall was was a dumpy grocery store out past the edge of town.  Times have changed in Pristina!

On our first weekend here, we decided to go to the food court.  This is what we had - Albanian fast food.  The food was good and cheap and plentiful.  There was a bit of Turkish mixed in.  The boats were kind of like hachupuri, but not.  No egg, and meat in them.  The bread was also not as fluffy.  Tasted good, though!

Nolive Alone

Another piece I worked on in Vienna.  It's looking pretty special.

Meeping Along

I worked on Meepers a bit while I was in Vienna.  Had  to do something while my feel recovered from all that walking around!

On To Another

When I saw it, I fell in love with the A-Mazing Caleidoscope by Martina Weber.  Because of that, I decided it would be my 2018 New Year's start.  I've got everything now - fabric, kit, and pattern - so it will be started on January 1.

Last Meal In US

We ate breakfast at Ol' South before heading to the airport to drop off the car and go to Kosovo.  Mom was with us, and, of course, we had to have some favorites.  Andreas got a Belgian waffle and I had a Dutch baby and an omelette.  It was a good way to finish off  the trip.
