Castle Patterns

123 Stitch had a sale on castle patterns. I picked up a few.

Light And Dark

Little bits of dark colors, but a lot more light added.  I see a flag edge.

Finally Back To This

It's been ten years since I worked on this, so I dusted it off and started again.  I got a lot of the outlining done, as it's my current daily project.  I'll finish it for sure before Thanksgiving.

Ponte Vecchio

Some of the best Italian food in Kosovo, and it's dirt cheap.  The family spent the war in Italy and Switzerland before returning home and opening the restaurant.  All the entrees are under five euro.  They have a great repartee, too.

Passport Fabric

I have never seen passport fabric before, so when I saw it, I had to get some.  Now to plan to do something with it and get it done.

Major Finish - Earth Dragon

It only took me seven years to complete, but it's done.  I love how it turned out. Unfortunately, it's now out of print and the company has gone out of business. This will go to Moldova when we visit to get framed.

It's Done Do'ed

This saying is for someone who requested it. I need to put it together into a flat fold to give to her.

Sunday Drive in Kosovo

On our way back from Gracanica, we didn't take the highway.  Ended up behind this... Kosovo is definitely still rural.

More Rooftops

More roof definition going on here, and a lot of detail coming out.

Vining Along

There's more blackwork than cross stitch on this piece, so I'm making my way around the square with a bunch of vine.

Parental Birthday Gifts

Andreas' parents gave me these lovely gifts for my birthday!  I am in awe of the tiny temari.  They are so well done, too.  The gift wrap cloth I am going to have to practice with, as I truly like the idea but suck at folding correctly.  Practice!

New Smoker

On a visit to Camp Bondsteel, Andreas saw a smoker at the PX. It wasn't that expensive, and he thought it'd be great to have. So, before buying it there, he checked out the price on amazon, and found it quite a bit less expensive.  It came through the mail.  And now it's set up and we use it on a regular basis.  The last photo is what we smoked first.  It was tasty.

Parental Anniversary Gifts

Andreas' parents sent us an anniversary gift. His mom made the bowl cozies, and all the rest is food from Japanese grocery stores.  The consular section loves the chestnut KitKats and hopes I bring back more when we eventually visit. We are slowly trying the rest and some of them are good, some are just plain weird.

Black Eyed Susans

This block seems to be going faster than the first one.  Maybe it's because the spinner is being kind to it.

Renaissance Restaurant

This has become one of my favorite restaurants. For fifteen euros, they stuff you with five? six? courses and all the wine and raki you can drink.  We always leave stuffed with good food and have a wonderful time.

To The Edge

I am so very close to the edge of the fourth wing.  It's almost time to start specialty stitches and trees.

Outer Space Countdown

This was all the stuff in my outer space countdown from Stitchy Box. I love both patterns and will be making them soon using some of the other items in the box.

Lots Of Green

Another window done and the green is getting pretty big in the garden.  The open spaces are for specialty stitch flowers.

Exchange Finish

It's been a while since I made this back in July, but it was for a Christmas in July exchange.  Came out okay, I think.

Tree Of Happiness Start

Tatiana, the designer and teacher of this piece, badgered me into starting it, so here it is. I am using fiberlicious silks because I have a lot of them and I think they'd be good for this project.

Given

This has now been given to its recipients.  Yay!

Prague Necklace

I found this necklace at Star Beads in Prague.  Isn't it pretty?

CLO Progressive Dinner

Back in July, our CLO arranged a progressive dinner around town.  First stop was Bon Vivant, supposedly the hot spot of Pristina.  The food was okay, and the weather was nice on the terrace.  Our second stop was a restaurant that starts with a G.  It was okay. And the third was a dessert place (there are several in Pristina) that had pretty but not necessarily tasty desserts.  For us, it was more about being social.
