Resisted!
I successfully resisted starting the fourth rectangle until the third one's done. It's completed now, so I just have to work on this last part and the stitching will be done. Yay!

Dinner at Umaga
A couple of weeks ago, we went to Umaga for dinner. Umaga is one of the newer restaurants in the neighborhood, and is only open Thursday through Sunday. On the other nights, they have cooking lessons. One thing Umaga is known for is mojitos. Unfortunately, we only had one round. They were out of mint.
The bread couse.
The bread couse.
I had duck in a wine reduction. All were excellent, although, according to Andreas, the pasta wasn't anything special.
By the time we were ready for dessert, Marlena joined us. She had the rest of my duck and Melina's salmon. Melina and Marlena split a cheesecake slice. This is half.

One Last English Garden
Arlene's is the last of the English Garden blocks for me to work on. She wanted pastels, and I picked this fan. You can see what I did in the photo below. It's been on its way to her for over a week now.

Mattie's Friend
This is Casio the Pomeranian. He is owned by Leo, who has him stuffed in his shirt. Casio is Mattie's bestest friend (Mattie's blog: www.sharrvelous.com). They get along famously despite the extreme size difference. Casio loves riding on the motorcycle, so I thought I'd share these pictures so you can see how he does it.

Fourth Bulb Outlined
The last set of acanthus leaves is outlined in gold. Last step on that part is Rhodes stitches in the lines. On the following part, I'm done with the upper left top. I guess that means I'm a quarter of the way through part five.

More Jewelry Holders
I've dedicated a drawer in my dresser for jewelry and got the idea from Martha Stewart to use unique little china pieces to organize it. Picked up two more of them the other week at Plaza Matriz. Aren't they cute?
