Yemanja

These were all taken the evening of the Yemanja festival, which is on Groundhog Day.  At least it's not about how much longer summer will last.  They're honoring a west African goddess who looks like Sophia Loren dressed up as the Madonna.  Anyway... enjoy the pictures.

A.... Heart

I now have a great big A on the heart.  It's the start of "amite".  Now to get the rest stitched.

Summer Sunset on the Rambla

Photos taken just before the beginning onf the Yemanja celebration on Groundhog Day.  You can even see a departing cruise ship in the background of some of these.  The beach is Playa Ramirez, the closest in town and the dirtiest.

Not Quite Yet

I think the next time I take this out, I'll just go ahead and finish it.  Didn't do it this time, but was tempted!

Things That Make You Wonder

 Do the owners tell time differently, or is it open 25 hours a week?  By the way, it's a chain....

 Did the cat in the window break in?  Is it the shop cat?  It was a Sunday, so we couldn't ask...

Turguoise and Peach

This one's done right, unlike the one before.  Just a color scheme I was trying out.

Saccharin Temari

 I made a mistake on this temari, but it still looks good.  Can you spot it?  The colors in person look about as sweet as cotton candy.
