I am not quite willing to call this halfway done yet.  On the other hand, it's getting pretty close.

I bought some more fiber from Orna Willis.  I just can't resist fiber, especially so nicely packaged...

All Treed Out

Room At Hanganu

The room is SMALL!  It's got no real chairs - only the tiny stools.  The sole table is shorter than a coffee table.  There's a desk, kind of.  The bathroom is normal sized.  You can see the bed in the second picture.  It's on bricks, with a small foam mattress.  The bed's entered through the little arch in the fireplace wall.  Evidently, this is the traditional way northern Moldovans built their houses.  The idea was warmth! The last picture is of the entrance into the room from the courtyard.  Yes, we had our own little bridge.

Little Bits

Not nearly as much progress as last post, but some definite forward movement!

Teal Temari

This temari is destined, along with some others (not yet made), to be a gift.  The design was from a stitchalong on Talk Temari, and I think it came out pretty nice.

Moldovan Parilla

This is the Moldovan version of a parilla.  Notice  that they put the wood directly under the cooking surface, and that they also have an oven attached.  This was not in use while we were at the hotel, but it's obviously been used often.
