Truly Complete!

Berkshire cottage is even ensconced in its magnet now.  Go me, for actually getting it truly finished!

Ladies' Night At Pivnushka

August's Ladies' Night Our was at A-95 Pivnushka, a pretty big and nice restaurant I'd never been to.  Actually, we'd passed the building numerous times and didn't know it was a restaurant because the entrance and signs and such are in the back, not on the main street.  Anyway, I had a salad with real bacon on it!  It's very hard to find real bacon here, and we normally import it.  My main course was chicken and grilled apples.  They were okay.  The apples were better than the chicken.  It was a bit dry.  We were supposed to do karaoke, but we decided to talk for hours instead.

Asian Nights Home

Yay, my Asian nights blocks are home!  Thank you to Pegsue, Rita, Sarma, Theresa, and Carol for making them look so fantastic!  My husband especially likes the hand.  I think it reminds him of Kung Fu Hustle.

So So Carlsburg Pub

The last place Corrin ate dinner at in Moldova was the Carlsburg Pub.  It was nothing great.  The food was mediocre - nothing stood out, but it wasn't bad enough to stand out that way, either.  Andreas' Greek salad was, as you can see, a bit skimpy on Greekness.  The pizza was not quite cardboard, and Andreas truly thought his spaghetti was just ... bland.  Now that Corrin's gone, I doubt we'll be going back.

Last Corner

Yay!  The last corner is well and truly started! I wonder if I can finish this part before the end of the year.

Green Hills Has A Restaurant

Green Hills is one of the local grocery store chains.  It specializes in fresh food and is one of the more chic places to buy groceries.  In the past year, they've opened a restaurant on the main drag - Stefan cel Mare Blvd - and it's pretty good.  We went with Corrin as part of her "farewell to Moldovan restaurants" tour.  Andreas had, of course, a Greek salad.  It didn't have much in the way of lettuce, which is something he appreciates.  He also had the chicken schnitzel - which was stuffed chicken - and iced tea.  The tea was red, which is fairly common here for iced tea.  It tasted more like fruit punch.

Corrin had french fries and mushroom-stuffed chicken.  It's one of her favorites and the reason we went.  I found fried mushrooms, which were very good with the exception of nothing to dip them in, and a soup which, somehow, we missed taking a picture of.

Crosses Done

I'm officially very close to finishing this!  All the cross stitches are done; now all it needs are the beads and specialty stitches.
