Outlined and started filling in the next building... also did some backstitching on the bottom.

Marsh Meadowed

It's done!  All the fiddly little stitches, even.  I liked the pattern, but got frustrated with how it was charted.  Often, there were areas where I was unsure of placement of stitches.  The chart is Marsh Meadow from Keslyn's.

Monastery Visit

 During the worst weather in March, there was an embassy trip to Curci monastery.  It was miserable!  While we could see that the monastery itself was beautiful, they wouldn't let us inside for some reason.  There was also a (very long) baptism going on in the church, so we weren't really able to see that, either.  We did, at least, get to visit the church gift shop.  I bought these icons there for my mother.  I hope she likes them.

We will definitely be going back in warmer weather, and hopefully be able to see at least the inside of the church.

Little Bits Of Color

I'f started working on the wavy border below the fence, if barely.  Progress is progress, right?

One of the five squares is almost done.  It's feeling like real progress now.

Dessert For Dinner

 Last week, we decided to make it a really good Friday by having dessert for dinner.  I had cappucino and a lemon tart at Delice D'Ange, while Andreas had a beef and olive quiche and some kind of strawberry cake.  This place is good, but there was a children's party upstairs that was both loud and rowdy.  They could use some expansion of their menu... perhaps some sandwiches would help business.  Desserts are good, though.
