A few weeks ago, we went to the Hospice Angelus charity ball. You saw the painting we won at the silent auction; here's now the food. The theme was around the world in one night. First was Italy, with lasagne. The cookies below were made by a friend, Stephanie. She made individual cookies for everyone. We also had "Argentine" beef. It had sauce and was not underdone. It was -not- Argentine, but still tasted good. There was a cake, too. The ball was a fun night, and we will probably do it again next year. There are photos of us on the Hospice Angelus facebook page, if you're truly interested.

Big Group At Papasul Dacilor
We ended up with a group of ten at Papasul Dacilor last month. It was a great time, and we were out on the terrace overlooking the river. The food and company were both excellent. Some of us had champagne, some beer, and others had ... some juice kiwi thing!
They gave us these cute little bird rolls. The eyes, by the way, were peppercorns. Some of us found that out the hard way. There were the usual appetizers - Greek salad, placinte, and zeama. I loved the way they presented the zeama in a big crock with a lid.
The main course for most of us was the meat platter. They claimed it was for two or three people, but it fed six of us comfortably. Others had the pork tocana with mamaligia and french fries.
Cappucino and chocolate for dessert rounded off the great meal.
