On To Honfleur

We went from Paris to Normandy on Monday.  On Tuesday, we decided to go to Honfleur.  It was a beautiful sunny day, if a bit chily.  The carousel is on the yacht basin and glitters in the sun.  It was a pretty crowded day in Honfleur, too, but we managed to have a good time.

Little Curves

Just a little curve at top.  It's the very edge of the part, so now fill it in and move down.

Yarn In Frankfurt

We found a delightful yarn shop in Frankfurt.  It's on the 18 tram line the stop before Konstablewache coming from the consulate.  The owner's very friendly and helpful.  Her yarns are gorgeous, too!

Rainy Day

While we truly enjoyed the air show in June, it would have been more awesome if the weather had cooperated.  as you can see in these photos, Sunday's exhibition was cut short by rain.  We plan to go back and to be part of the crowd.

Almost One

A few stars and moons on the pumpkin, which is now almost finished.  One of three...

Kompot At sarkis

When we went to Sarkis in September, it had been about a year since we'd gone.  The reason it took so long for us to go back was the very slow service.  For a lunch break, it's really inefficient despite being only two blocks from the embassy.  Anyway, it was a nice day, we were tired of the Loft, and we had seen that the cafeteria had three! fish courses and borscht for the soup.  A very unhappy meal there.  So of we went.  Andreas, as usual, had Greek salad.  It was a bit different than most in that it had a lot of lettuce.  They had fresh forest fruit compote though, so that helped.  I had a decent zeama.  We had lavash with cheese too, and I had chicken tabac.  I didn't realize it was going to be a -whole- chicken.  Needless to say, I brought 3/4 home for a chicken salad later.  Andreas' main meal didn't get a photo for some reason.  The food was good, the service was still really slow.  This means we just can't do it in an hour for lunch.

Air Show - Last Day

By Sunday, nearly all of the indoor exhibits had been packed up.  The exhibit halls looked rather sad.  On top of  that, the weather was definitely chilly, overcast, and rainy.  These are the interesting items we saw indoors.
