When we went to Sarkis in September, it had been about a year since we'd gone. The reason it took so long for us to go back was the very slow service. For a lunch break, it's really inefficient despite being only two blocks from the embassy. Anyway, it was a nice day, we were tired of the Loft, and we had seen that the cafeteria had three! fish courses and borscht for the soup. A very unhappy meal there. So of we went. Andreas, as usual, had Greek salad. It was a bit different than most in that it had a lot of lettuce. They had fresh forest fruit compote though, so that helped. I had a decent zeama. We had lavash with cheese too, and I had chicken tabac. I didn't realize it was going to be a -whole- chicken. Needless to say, I brought 3/4 home for a chicken salad later. Andreas' main meal didn't get a photo for some reason. The food was good, the service was still really slow. This means we just can't do it in an hour for lunch.
