Asian Palm Done

So far on this trip away from home, I've completed three items.  This was the first.  It's Asian Palm, and it was on one of my crazy January lists.  It's already wrapped up and on the way to my daughter as a Christmas present.

Cappucino While Waiting

I picked up Greek food for lunch at El Greco the other week.  While waiting, I had this lovely cappucino.

Not My Stitching

I gave this Dimensions kit to one of my coworkers.  She completed it last month, and I think she did a great job with all the vibrant colors!

One Animal At A Time

I'm working my way left to right one animal at a time.  I've gotten the wolf and bird done; it's time to add a rabbit.

My New Favorite

If I was drinking vodka neat, I always preferred Zubrovka.  It tasted better.  When we went to Krakow, however, I found a better vodka!  It's still Zubrovka, but it's premium and the color of whiskey.  The taste is so smooth and doesn't burn like other vodkas.  If you can get your hands on some, try it.  I don't know if it's available in the US.

Use For Old CDs...

It turns out I've found a use for old CDs.  I used two of them to make this ornament.  You could pad the ornament if you want; I didn't.  I just laced the front over one CD and the backing fabric over the other, then sewed them together using the gold cording.  Voila!  A pretty ornament that's got some recycling, too.

Dinner And A Show

Normally Andreas would never do something like this, but he indulged me in Krakow.  We went to a place that had a set dinner and a show.  I wanted to see if anything looked familiar to me from watching my grandfather as a child.  It wasn't, but that's not surprising.  Some of the songs and dances were vaguely familiar, though.  The area they had to work with was tiny!  The show was good, and I have video of it.  I'll try to put the video up soon.
