Marine Ball 2013 Food

Our table setting this year was for eight instead of ten, which made it seem less crowded.  The candle centerpiece was very pretty.  First course was a rather meh salad.  It was refreshing, though, to see no glob of mayonnaise on it.  Andreas had  the chicken and I had the steak.  While the food was by no means hot, it was better than last year's absolutely cold food.  The steak was not overdone and the chicken was not rubbery.  The cheesecake was rather flavorless, so we only ate a few bites.

Foliage Added

I've added some foliage to the flowers.  This is coming along pretty well, and I should be done relatively soon.

Star

I bought an ornament for me at the Christmas markets.  I think it'll look pretty glittering in a window.

Time To Center

I've got both top corners done, so it's time to do some center work.

Goldwork Supplies!

I bought a goldwork surprise box from Jen Goodwin last month and had it mailed to my US address so I wouldn't have to wait to see the contents.  I got this!  Isn't it great?  Now I need some time to do it.

Pretty Gingerbread

There were a few booths selling these beautiful gingerbreads at the Vienna Christmas markets.  I finally broke down and bought one because it was so pretty.

After The Work

 This is our street after they claim to be done with the work.  As you can see, we have two gravel filled ditches.  Supposedly, they will be paved over some time next summer.  The ditches are already settling into ruts.
