Shoes I Love

Have you ever wanted a new pair of shoes without having to buy a new pair?  Want to express your creativity?  I own a pair of these and you can do that with them.  They feel great, too.

I rarely endorse anything, but I really want this Kickstarter to make so I can get another pair of their wonderful sandals.

At Applebee's

Since I have my photos in alphabetical and not chronological order, you will be seeing my food pics in that way.  This is what we had at Applebee's in Memphis.  We were just overnighting there after a too long drive and a traffic jam.  We also ended up in a less-than-wonderful neighborhood because Marriott didn't have anything decent in the area.  Anyway, to the food.

The restaurant was about a mile from the hotel and the employees were less than enthused about working.  We never did get used to American portion sizes and, as usual, ordered too much food.  The chips and queso were not too spicy but weren't very warm, either.  Andreas' pasta was meh, according to him.  My steak was rather tough but at least was not overcooked.  This was a totally unremarkable meal.

Christmas Lights In Vienna

Some street decorations near Stephensplatz in Vienna.  They were sparkly and pretty and the photos don't do them justice.

Fencing In

Got some more fencing doe in the middle.  It looks like I might be done with the upper ridge of it.

Meh Thai

We found Restaurant Sternzeichen in the mall next to the Bahnhof Vien Mitte.  We had spent the whole day out and just wanted something to eat before getting back to the hotel.  The service was, to put it mildly, pretty bad.  Getting the waiter's attention was a chore, and he didn't think it his job to check on people, either.  This, with -maybe- three tables total with people in the restaurant.  The food was somewhat Moldovan in that the ruling credo seemed to be that if it looked right, it tasted right.  The hot was hot without being spicy and there was a lot of grease.  It was nothing like our lovely Thai food in Frankfurt.

Pretty Peacocks

Lately I have been unable to resist peacocks.  So, these thank you notes ended up as purchases at one of the Vienna markets...

All Fogiven

Yay, another finish!  I started this only a couple of months ago and am so happy it's done.  Now I need to make it into a pillow ornament to hang over our headboard.
