Crafty Project

I brought some of my For The Makers boxes with me when I left Moldova.  Finally, I got to do a project from them.  This is a pinata made from the box, mylar (icky to work with), and tissue paper.  Not too bad.  It's even filled with candy.  Give some decoration to the apartment.

You're The One

The dragon is still looking like a rubber ducky.  Eventually it'll change, I'm sure.  For now, though, I have Ernie's song going through my head.

Not Very Appetizing

Two days after we arrived in Angola CLO had organized a lunch.  We went; our sponsors were gracious enough to give us a ride.  The place was Fazienda.  It's hard to find and in a farther part of town.  Since we were money strapped from not being able to cash a check, we ended up with pasta.  It was okay; the sauce was nothing more than olive oil and a bit of lemon juice.  Not exactly a great introduction to Angola.  Our second dinner out, a couple of weeks later, was much better but Andreas didn't let me take photos.

Superior Grill

We had to go to Shreveport to pick up the puppy and evil cats before leaving the country.  While there, we had dinner with Andreas' parents at Superior Grill.  They've changed their menu some.  We shared the nachos.  I had barbacoa tacos and Andreas had enchiladas, as did his mother.  His father had chili rellenos.  The food was pretty good, but I wish we had Mexican here.

Over Halfway

Looks like this is going to get done on time.  And then only one more month to go - the thread for that one got here on Friday.

To The Bottom

The bottom stitch of this piece is stitched!  That means I'm getting much closer to being done.

Another Curve

I've got another curve of the dragon's skull done.  For some reason, this seems to be going very slowly for me.
