Stitch Maynia #11 - Chaqua

This should be a fairly quick stitch, with the brown and turquoise.  I hope to get more of it done soon.

Liburnia Is Good

The embassy had a group trip to Liburnia Restaurant just before we were off to Frankfurt.  Liburnia makes local food, and they make it GOOD.  I am especially a fan of their mushrooms and cheese, grilled.  The cheese adds a salty bite to the mushrooms.  Food, as usual, was far too plentiful.

Gresa Again

Back at the end of March, we went to Gresa again for dinner.  The carpaccio was very filling because they cut it thick.  Andreas liked his soup and chicken.  I barely touched my chicken because of the carpaccio.

One Deer, One Potted Plant

The second deer is started, so I'm getting done with this.  Yay!

Half The Stitches

Outside of backstitching, which is started, I am halfway done with this!  There are all the muppets to put on top now.

Sorry For The Purple

There's a new IndoPak restaurant open in Pristina, and it's awesome!  Punjabi Kitchen is run by a Pakistani-Canadian.  I'm not quite sure how he ended up here, but I love that he is.  Kosovo now has real Indian food!
Sorry for the purple wash.  The lighting in the restaurant was very cool, and my flash did not go off.

Albanian Eco Farm - Mrizi i Zanave

A group from the embassy went to Albania and ate lunch at Mrizi i Zanave. The gimmick with this place is that everything is grown, harvested, and made on site.  Our visit was before the spring vegetable season, so a lot of our stuff was harvested last autumn and preserved.  There was a LOT of food.  Most of it tasted good, but I did pass on the goat lung stuffed cornbread.  Some of the more interesting items were the pumpkin sorbet, the lovely parma ham, and the lamb skewers. The first course was a lovely presentation of dried tomatoes, mayonnaise, and bread in a bird's nest.
