This quilt was a scrap random thing that I did a couple of years ago and then left half quilted when I got bored with it. I finished it this week and am letting my husband figure out what to do with it. As per suggestions from a previous post, he may frame it. It's not great work, but it's a kind of cute little nothing.

Crewel Finish
This is an on time finish for my group correspondence course - it'll be mailed on Monday. It's also the last piece in my 25 project challenge. I think overall it came out pretty well. If I'd been thinking about it, I would have reversed to colors of the bullion flowers on the top left and the pink spiky flowers on the bottom. The top lily-looking flower looks a bit skimpy in the full sized photo, but it doesn't in person. My laying and couching to get it straight and exact still needs a bit of work. Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out. Now to get it evaluated.
Green Squares
When looking at this picture versus last week's, it took me a minute to see the progress. You'll be able to see a -lot- more with next week's picture. There are several squarish areas bordered with pond scum green floss. Those all got done on the garden this week. There was also some filling in with dark blue, making the garden look less naked. It's getting there. I'll definitely finish off this area before the end of February.

Arches and Columns
This week I got the columns and arches started. Surprisingly for how big this band is, it's going quickly. I'll be introducing another turquoise-ish color in this band; it will be the last color used. I haven't put a deadline on this piece, since I missed the turn in date, but it's going to get done, and at this rate, it'll be done by the end of the summer.

Goals Progress
No pictures this post, just an update on my goals. I posted them here in December. This month I finished six projects, including one UFO. One was an ornament, which means I'm on track for that goal. I did a project for the Take It Further challenge too, so I'm still on track with that goal. Crewel Choices is -almost- done and will be finished tonight or tomorrow, which means within a day of its deadline. Go me! Medieval Town Mandala is showing good progress, as is the Midi 2. I -should- be able to get them done on time. I still have yet to start my husband's stocking or his Bibendum. Soon. I'm happy with the progress I've made so far, even if January is a long month and I have more time to complete things during it.

UFO Be Gone
I started this a couple of years ago. Piecing's always easy for me; it's the quilting part that bogs me down. Two of the rows of triangles were already quilted when I picked this up last week. At the time of this picture, the third row is halfway done. Since this picture on Friday, I've finished it! Not only is the quilting done, but it's bound up and completely finished. Now to figure out what to do with it. It's about the size of a placemat...
