Saturday before last, we took a group trip out to Minas and visited the biggest brewery in the country. It's been in business for 75 years, and in the last decade was bought out by InBev, the company that now owns Anheuser-Busch. They have another brewery in town, but what's the fun of visiting something close?
They still have a lot of their copper-clad equipment, though it's not in use.
Seeing their lab made me realize how much I miss being in one.
A chiller, vintage 1930's.
Views from the upper floor of the brewery. You can see everything from the water treatment ponds (which smell awful) to the mountains in the distance.
