Past Half

I have merely to add the medallion on the end to be done with this side of the row.  Yay!

Along The Jetway

At Le Bourget, the planes that fly are parked along the walkway to the viewing stands.  This means you get to see them up close and personal, along with drones (surprise) and missles and helicopters.  As you can see from the pictures below, Israel was especially proud of its Iron Dome system.  You can also see that it was a very cloudy day- and this was the best day of the three.

Filling In Holes

This past session, I was just filling in holes and pushing the piece forward.  Nothing stands out as "done" this time.

Beautiful Tools

 Tools can be beautiful, too!

C & K Connectors And Other Things

I -really- liked the way this connector company (C&K) displayed their stuff - so much so that I made Andreas take this picture and the rep came over.  We talked for a while about how I liked what he did with his stuff and that there was a lot of beauty in industrial things.  We were some of the few people who took time to talk to reps during the public days.  After he gave me the cute tiny notebook and pen below, I told him my son was an aerospace engineer.  He felt his time had definitely not been wasted!  My son Sean got the notebook.  I kept the pen to myself.  More pictures of what I thought artistic below, and a couple more drones, too!

BEA'd

Yay, the A's finished and I'm now working on the sandcastle.

Aye, Robots

There were several fabrication robots on demonstration at the Paris Air Show.  Some were even working.

Light And Dark

This time, I added a little light to the bamboo and some dark to the middle leaf.

Finally, Some Air Show Pics

If you get the chance to go, the biennial Paris Air Show is something not to miss.  We were able to go on three (very cloudy and rainy) days in June.  Next time, we're going to try to get in during the early part of the week when all the vendors are still set up.  The majority were on Friday, and we managed  to see some spiffy things.  A lot of these pictures were taken because it's neat stuff.  Some were taken because I thought the pieces looked like art in engineering.  Some, just because.  There were, by the way, a huge number of drones on display.
