I decided to try a temari design on a flat surface for this stitch. The stitch used most often in temari is herringbone. I think it came out all right, but it looks a lot different than it does on a ball.

Looks very pretty. Your temari are all beautiful and the gifted ones are wonderful, too. I've tried making them and found it awfully hard to get the divisions done perfectly which is the key to the final outcome. You've evidently got that down pat!
Thank you! And my temari get skewed, too. I especially still have problems with C8's, but I'm working on it. Practice and double measuring make it better.
