Pushkinade

 There was a cannon right next to the statue of Pushkin, so both go into this post.  Every Russian speaking city seems to have a love affair with Pushkin.  I personally don't understand why.  It could be because he had at least an affair in every town.  I suppose I should read some Pushkin to see if his writing's any good.

Well, everyone knows and loves Pushkin in Russia. His poems are amasing. I suppose you need to speak russian to fully appreciate the language of his poems.

I'm learning the Russian. Maybe in the three more years I'm here, I'll learn how to read it well enough to get a little Pushkin in the original. I think I'll read him in translation first.
