New Calendar

This piece is just weird, and I'm learning exactly how much muscle memory I have invested in stitching. All the stitches are backwards. I guess the person who started it is left handed or learned that way, so we all have to do it the same way to make it look good. I'm doing Ares because it looked like the next one that needed to be done. Right now, I have this round robin, one more, and supposedly one in the post to me. I -will- catch up.

Turn your fabric and your chart 90 degrees and then you can stitch your normal way. I stitch backwards from most people (first leg runs upper left to lower right, top leg runs upper right to lower left) and I found this works great when working on other people's projects.

Jenn beat me to it - I was about to tell you the same hint. I completed a RR myself earlier in the year and had the same issue ... I frogged more in one small piece than I'd frogged my own stitching for the entire month, just because I was used to stitching 'my own way'. Wish someone had told me that little hint beforehand ;)

All the best for 2008 - hope it is a year filled with peace, love and happiness, and lots of stitchy goodness :)

This is a strange one! Good luck with it though! Gill

I figured out a way that works for me now - most of the time - on it. Thanks for the hints.
